Success Story

“Congratulations, Mrs. Kelbaugh!”

Mrs. Shirley Kelbaugh arrived at Julia Manor with significant difficulties with mobility and self-care tasks due to a motor vehicle accident. Shirley faced several obstacles during her stay, but with a strong will and determination she was able to overcome them. Shirley worked hard and was determined to safely transition home. After a few weeks of intense therapy her personal goal of returning home was achieved.

Shirley began her therapies with decreased activity tolerance, strength, and decreased ability to safely complete self-care tasks. Shirley had made significant progress with her overall strength, mobility, and basic tasks using compensatory strategies with adaptive equipment taught by her therapists.

Shirley was grateful for the therapy team at Julia Manor that helped her achieve her goal of returning home independently with visits from her daughter as needed.

Congratulations Shirley on your therapy accomplishments and returning home!
